Man gets 25 years for attempted murder of ex-girlfriend

The Tlhabane Magistrates Court in the North West has handed down a 25 years prison term to a 48 years old man, Sindisa Matomane on charges of attempted murder.
The court heard that Motamone went to his ex-girlfriend’s resident in Kanana, near Tlhabane on the morning of August 14th, 2023 where he found the victim sleeping and took a sharp object to stab her multiple times.
She screamed for help and later on became unconscious before the community could come to her rescue.
Fortunate enough she survived after being admitted in hospital for two months.
Matomane fled the scene immediately when the victim lost conscious but was later arrested on the same day and had been in police custody ever since.
