Suspended Ratlou Municipality official’s PA arrested for theft

A suspended Ratlou Local Municipality Acting Municipal Manager’s PA has been released on R 3000 bail after his short arrest by the Hawks on Thursday.

The 27 years old Tshepo Nkoane was arrested on charges of theft and defeating the ends of justice for allegedly stealing documents for a tender.

Hawks Spokesperson Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso said that it is alleged that on 31 March 2023, Nkoane stole tender documents and original invoices for a tender that is under investigation.

This is allegedly following the investigator’s request for the documents in question which form part of an ongoing investigation by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation.

It was further revealed that the said suspended senior official, was because of the documents in question.
