Woman defrauds her employer of R 15m

A 43 years old woman has been arrested by Cape Town Provincial Commercial Crimes unit for allegedly defrauding her employers of money amounting to an estimated R 15million.

Police Spokesperson Ndakhe Gwala said the said suspect was allegedly working for a distributing company based in Cape Town when she told foreign creditors to rather deposit money into her personal bank account instead of the company’s account.

She was arrested on Thursday and is due to make her first court appearance at Cape Town Magistrate’s court today.
