Dr Mpho Phalatse fails to survive motion of no confidence third time around

The Democratic Alliance member who is now a former Executive Mayor Dr Mpho Phalatse couldn’t survive the of no confidence against her this time around for the third time now.

She was first ousted as the mayor through a motion of no confidence to make way for ANC’s Dada Morero.

But she took the matter to court and the court ordered that she be reinstated and everything that was done of approved under Morero was declared unlawful.

She then survived a second attempt after the African Independent Congress’ Margaret Arnolds withdrew her no confidence motion at the eleventh hour.

Coalition partners put the blame on the DA for the collapse of the partnership.

Action SA and Patriotic Alliance is among those partners.
