Just after a brief break due to FIFA World Cup, PSL resumed its league games on December 30th with the log leader and league champions Mamelodi Sundowns against Orlando Pirates.

Unfortunately the Buccaneers lost the game with 2-0.

The Soweto soccer giants issued a statement ahead of the game with an update on some of their key players who are forced to stay off pitch for a little longer to nurse their injuries.

The team’s medical team said their four First Team players Richard Ofori, Tebogo Tlolane, Olisa Ndah and Thembinkosi Lorch.

“Wing-back Tebogo Tlolane is among those ruled out after suffering a medical collateral ligament (MCL) tear, and could be back in full training in mid-January.”

“He is joined in the injury list by central defender Olisa Ndah, who is likely to be out of action until end of January after also picking up a niggle.”

The Medical team added Ghananian international Ofori, had to unfortunately miss the World Cup competition also due to knee injury while attacking midfielder Lorch is also likely to comeback end of January.
