Man found with dagga worth approximately R 1million

A 40 years old Nkosinathi Zungu has been to 15 years imprisonment by the Barbeton Magistrates Court following his arrest on September 1st by the Mpumalanga Tactical Response Team.

Hawks Spokesperson Captain Dineo Sekgotodi said Zungu was found with killos of dagga in his Nissan Hardbody bakkie amounting to an estimated R 1million value plus R 46 200 hard cash.

Making his final appearance in court on the 14th, Zungu was sentenced to 15 (fifteen) years imprisonment which is holly suspended for 5 years and R50 000 (fifty thousand rand) or 6 (six) years imprisonment.

The case was referred to Priority Crime Specialised Investigation which are looking into the cash and the Nissan bakkie which were seized during the arrest.
