25 years imprisonment for a man (28) who raped a teenager inside a toilet

Police Commissioner of North West, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena has welcomed a 25 years jail sentence of a 28 years old man caught raping a 14 years old girl inside a toilet.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Adel Myburgh said the incident occurred on April 1st 2022 Appeldraai Village, close to Ventersdorp. He was caught in the act by the victim’s aunt who did not hesitate to inform the police about the matter.

The suspect fled the scene but was caught and arrested five days later.

Lt Kwena applauded investigators and members involved in the case for a job well done and the Ventersdorp Magistrates’ Court for the heavy sentencing.
