35 years old woman appears in court for conspiracy to kill her ex-husband

A 35 years old woman is set to make a court appearance at Thohoyandou Magistrates Court today following an alleged plot to kill her ex-husband who is a police official in Vhembe District.
The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation members arrested the said 35 years old woman after receiving a tipoff about the planned hit on the officer where the woman allegedly hired a hitman in November 2020.
Police Spokesperson Captain Matimba Maluleke said the Hawks kept an observation which led to the apprehension of the suspect after she withdrew R10 000 meant as deposit to pay the hitman.
The observation led to her arrest this past Wednesday on conspiracy to commit murder.
