“The Polish government is deliberately putting President President Ramaphosa’s live in danger”

The presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya has told government media that President Matamela Ramaphosa is safe and there is not much to worry about yet.

This follows a chaos that occurred in Warsaw, Poland just as the Presidential Protection Unit was about to leave and the officials were allegedly taken through unusual procedures which wouldn’t normally occur for people holding diplomatic documentations.

This was said by Head of Presidential Protection Unit Major General Wally Rhoode who accused the Polish government of deliberately trying to put the president’s live at risk.

He also said that one of their female protective unit member was strip searched which is unusual.

However, he said that the President is safe wherever he is participating in the African Peace Mission Initiative aimed at a peaceful resolution of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

With some protective unit being left behind, Magwenya said that there are already teams deployed on the ground that have conducted a security threat assessment and have given President Ramaphosa the green light to travel to Kyiv, Ukraine.
