Mpumalanga Education MEC’s visit to Manoka Secondary School in Mmametlake postponed

Mpumalanga MEC for Education, Mr Bonakele Majuba’s to Manoka Secondary School in Mmametlake has been postponed.

In a communique by the MEC’S office, the visit came with a greater concern to the MEC, of the school’s academic performance in the past year.

Previous year’s results of this school recorded a steep decline from 73.5% in 2019 to 48.8% in the 2020 National Senior Certificate results.

This is according to the MEC who also added that the visit was also planned to be used to get an update on the implementation of the school based improvement plan to turn the situation for the better.

A formal communique of the postponement is yet to be made public.
