Sister left with stab wounds after her sister was stabbed to death by boyfriend

A sister who was caught in the fight between two lovers has found herself grieving for the loss of her sister’s life and scars to remind her of the ordeal.

The cruel ordeal saw Police in Hlogotlou outside Groblersdal in Limpopo requesting members of the Public to assist in locating perpetrator.

It is said according to information at the police disposal that a fight broke between the pair where the suspect allegedly stabbed a woman to death and critically injured her sister on Friday 18 June 2021 at Monsterlus Selahlilwe village.

The woman (26) was said to be his girlfriend.

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said that the boyfriend allegedly took out a knife during their argument where he allegedly stabbed the deceased to the death and also leaving the sister with wounds after also stabbing her.

The younger brother managed to escape unharmed to call for the neighbour’s help. The boyfriend had already fled the scene by the time the younger brother came back to the scene.

“Yesterday afternoon, 20 June 2021, the community members in the area mobilised after learning about the incident and went to the suspect’s house where they set it alight. There was no one in the house.”

“The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned this incident of Gender Based Violence and has ordered the police to hunt down the suspect and bring him to book. Lieutenant General Hadebe also condemned the actions of the local community for torching the suspect’s house and urged them to instead assist the police in hunting him down.”

“The Police are requesting Mr Maxwell Mashegoane of Monsterlus Selahliwe (pictured above) to avail himself at any nearest police station as it is believed he will be able to assist in the investigation of these gruesome cases.”


“Anyone with information is requested to Contact Detective Constable Manganye on 060 624 3383 or crime stop number 08600 10111 or the nearest Police Station” said Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.

The sister is said to be receiving medical care.
