Orlando Pirates coach scoops coach of the month award

Having started the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League with a dominant force, the Buccaneers also scooped one of the most important accolades when coach Jose Riveiro got awarded the Betway Premiership Coach of the Month for September and October 2024.
Riveiro led the team to a promising first half of the league having played 7 games with no lose and holding the top position at 21 points ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns.
They also scooped an award through their forward player Lucas Ribeiro Costa who was named Betway Premiership Player of the Month. The Brazilian-born star maintained his impressive form, scoring four goals and delivering two assists to help the defending champions secure a strong start to the season.
He emerged as the winner, outperforming Orlando Pirates players Sipho Chaine, Relebohile Mofokeng, and Deon Hotto.
