Class of 2022 matric results to be released next week

The Department of Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga says all is on track with 2022 matric results.
The department explained that results for the matric class of 2022 are currently being processed while they are set to be released on January 19th.
“When the results are released, we urge [learners] to collect their results at the centre where [they] sat for the 2022 National Senior Certificate examinations,” the department said.
For learners who will return to school this year, the academic year will kick off on Wednesday for learners attending school in Gauteng, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the North West.
As the learners where starting with their exams last year, Minister Motshekga said it is very important to note that the class of 2022 experienced Covid-19 at the time when they were doing grade 10.
Even when the virus was said to be well under control and all regulations were cancelled, learners found themselves having to play catch-up to the time lost.
