18 years old mother stabbed to death after asking about child maintenance

A case against Maanda Maeba has been postponed to August 23 for formal bail application.
The 26 years old Maeba appeared before Vuwani Magistrates Court today for allegedly stabbing his partner to death with a knife on Monday, Women’s Day at Vuwani village Ha-Ramukhuba outside of Thohoyandou, at their homestead.
It is said according to NPA Spokesperson in the area Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi that the argument between the couple started in the evening when Maeba came back from his temporary job carrying only R100.
The deceased 18 years old who is also the mother of Maeba’s baby who is 18 months old then started asking about child maintenance to which, the argument then started and became more aggressive.
“It is reported that Maeba then stabbed the mother of his 18-month-old baby with a knife. The deceased, Fholisani Sinthumule aged 18 was certified dead by paramedics at the scene. Maeba later handed himself over to the police at Vuwani” said Dzangi.
